Results
- Won the competition, with the pitch deck we built
- 12 books designed, one for each grade
- One standard for every lesson we edited
- Early delivered before the deadline, in Jawhrah Altuwaijri’s words
The start
An education initiative is judged on its content and on how it is presented
The program began in 2010 as Al Mar’a Al Mohammadiya, for girls in Islamic education schools. After 10 successful years it became Hayat Mohammadiya, for boys and girls, in line with the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
- Every lesson has to be accurate, consistent and ready to teach.
- Every book has to be designed so a student wants to open it.
- The deck gets a few minutes in front of a judging panel, next to strong entries.
What was needed was clear: the books, the lessons and the deck reading as one body of work.
What we did
The deck, the books and the lessons, on one system
-
1We wrote the story of the deck and designed its slides
The initiative’s value, written clearly, so a judge follows the idea without anyone explaining it. Clean, convincing slides, built for the judging room, not for reading at a desk.
The result
The deck won the competition.
-
2We designed a book for every grade
Layout, type, and an editorial system that ties all the material together. Each book has its own title: “The Adaptable,” “The Responsible One,” “The Hero of Your Life.”
The result
12 books in one design, from the first grade to the twelfth.
-
3We edited every lesson to one standard
Each lesson is accurate, consistent and ready to teach. Take “Let’s light up our lives” from the first grade book: aim, objective, materials, class time, activity, insights from Islam, summary and homework.
The result
The initiative read as one body of work, from the lesson to the slide.
In the client’s words
“Working with Saura was relaxing. They understood what was needed, delivered before deadline and felt like part of the team.”
